Surrounded by lush rainforest in Livingstonia, standing at 125 meters high, Manchawe Falls is the highest waterfall in Malawi. This breathtaking natural resource rises to an altitude of 1,077 meters. It is located about 4km from the town of Livingstonia towards Lake Malawi.
What makes this landmark even more special is it’s historical background. Legend has it, that this impressive falls more than 100 years ago, was the a place where the locals would escape to the caves behind the falls to hide from the slave traders.
